Entrepreneurship Program on Pharma Wholesale Opportunities

YTC Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts Entrepreneurship Program on Pharma Wholesale Opportunities (Faculty of Pharmacy) YSPM’s YTC Faculty of Pharmacy, Satara organized an Entrepreneurship Development Program on “Pharma Wholesale Start-up: Avenues & Opportunities” on 24th September 2025. The guest lecture was delivered by Ms. Pooja Jagtap, Proprietor, Quremed Pharma, Satara, and a proud alumini of the institute. The session was coordinated by Mr. A. P. Jadhav and attended by the Final Year B. Pharmacy students. The program aimed to inspire young pharmacy professionals to explore entrepreneurship in the pharmaceutical wholesale sector. Ms. Jagtap provided valuable insights into market trends, regulatory aspects, start-up requirements, and risk management strategies in the wholesale business. She highlighted the importance of supply chain management, legal documentation under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, storage guidelines, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP). Key areas discussed included investment planning, tie-ups with pharma companies, digital pharmacy models, logistics challenges, and compliance requirements. She also emphasized the entrepreneurial mindset covering critical skills such as financial literacy, networking, and business planning supported by success stories from the industry. The session created strong awareness among students about the avenues and opportunities in pharma distribution, encouraging them to move beyond conventional pharmacy roles. Students interacted actively with the resource person and clarified their queries regarding licensing procedures, inventory management, and ethical business practices.
