National Sports Day Celebration 2026

National Sports Day Celebration Date: 29 August 2026 Beneficiaries: B.Pharm, M.Pharm & Pharm D Students Activity Coordinator: Mr. M. J. Bhandwalkar Yashoda Technical Campus, Faculty of Pharmacy celebrated National Sports Day on 29 August 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand and promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition among students. The celebration commenced with an Inaugural Ceremony at 10:00 AM in the presence of Guest of Honour Dr. Ajinkya D. Sagare, Vice President, Yashoda Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Satara, Principal, faculty members, and students. The programme included a welcome address, motivational speech, sports oath, and formal inauguration of the Sports Meet. Students actively participated in Tug of War and Chess competitions. More than 12 students from the Faculty of Pharmacy participated in the events. The celebration concluded with a Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution Ceremony at the Blue Seminar Hall, where winners and runners-up were felicitated with medals, trophies, and certificates. The activity was organized by the Gymkhana Committee of Yashoda Technical Campus under the coordination of the Sports Coordinator, with the support and encouragement of the management, Principal, and Head of the Department.
